For the second part of the assignment we were asked to create an illustration. I decided to create this piece of jewelry, as African beadwork and jewelry has been around for many years. African beadwork not only serves as decorative jewelry but is also used in traditional life.
To-days jewelry still incorporates the early beadwork, but instead of using glass beads some have been replaced with plastic beads and some of to-day's handmade jewelry has changed to a more modern look to cater for the tourist trade, as shown in this picture.
